Planning to modernize the information system of the post office Pošta Slovenije

 

Modernizing the information system for the Post of Slovenia represents a very impressive complex project when seen from a content, technological and organizational point of view.


Planning the modernization of the information system involves planning the concept of a system, setting up the logic and physical architecture, defining rules of modelling processes, rules for quality assurance, coding rules, setting up the applicative program base of the project and the production of general modules.

 
 

Planning and monitoring the budget

 

BPMIS ('Budget Planning and Monitoring Information System') is a budget system (either for a country, region, community, organization) and also helps to monitor activities that are linked with this task. The budget is a term for an annual plan of revenue and expenses and is an important instrument in determining long-term microeconomic stability for a respective country. 

 

The  BPMIS system supports the full budget preparation cycle: 

 

  • Drafting projections and preparing budgets and limits in the budget preparation sector.
  • Gathering financial plans from all budget users.
  • Reviewing data on budget realization.

 

Essential advantages include:

 

  • Draft budget projections for several years with the use of macroeconomic indicators.
  • Drafting cost-cutting measures with various classifications (programme classification, functional classification, and economic classification).

Navision data synchronization


The system for data synchronization between Navision databases over different physical locations that are connected over WAN on a weekly basis. The synchronization is based on MSMQ (Microsoft Message Queue), a transport mechanism. The system contents include a control module, synchronization service and a connector to the Navision database.  

 

Because of its structure the system is suitable for connection/synchronisation between different sources and data collection locations, while also allowing simple queuing of databases, tables and fields for synchronisation. 

 
 

Concluding and processing loans

 

It is a complete web solution that helps provide and process loans, including the lender and the borrower, while the solution supplier represents a mediator or a link between the lender and the borrower. In addition to principal loan management for individuals, it also provides internal management of funds as well as monitoring the processing thereof.


The user (borrower or lender respectively) is guided  through the entire process of the loan or investment approval with the help of the web page. On the other hand, the system administrator guides the user through a specialized application and rates and confirms the applications, transfers funds, sets interest rates, assigns tasks, etc.


The system is distinguished by a high level of user experience, providing a dynamic data structure and managing complicated finance processes.
Essential advantages include:

 

  • Possible managing of funds and loans, multi-currency accounts of investors, reinvesting payments…
  • Built in system to review applications regarding credit and risk ratings of individual applicants.
  • Integration with the system for electronic signing of documents, payment system, inter-bank interest rate reporting system and the accounting system.
  • Expandable data system for data applications with options for history tracking down to the data level.
  • Generating loan agreements and their electronic signing.
  • An effective and intuitive user interface enables the user to decide quickly, enables mutual information or escalation and assures a good user experience.

 
 

Vicoteka.SI, Glavca.SI

 

An commercial website developed by Agito for a customer called Otrino d.o.o., a web content provider.

 

Vicoteka.SI was created to host amusing content. Registered users can add jokes in text form or as a multimedia file, such as image or audio/video files. Before the files are published they are confirmed by the administrator. Although the content of the web page can be seen by anyone, only registered users can send comments and communicate. The most viewed contents are ranked chart on the main page. Glavca.si is basically a fun page for taking topical quizzes without paying anything.

 
 

WREK (Web REK forms)

 

REK forms are the most complex forms with tax contents in the Republic of Slovenia.

 

WREK is an application for filling out, calculating and printing REK 1, REK 1a, REK 2 and REK 3 forms. The forms REK 1 and REK 1a also include the forms CLEARING BALANCE OF TAX ON PAID SALARIES. Printed forms are suitable for sending by email.

 

The integration of the WREK application with the Electronic Tax Operations (EDP) system is underway so that it will be possible to send REK forms via the internet.

 
 

Slovenian Legislation Registry

 

The project started in conjunction with the construction of a legal information system for the Republic of Slovenia, which is basically meant for:

 

  • Overseeing the work of state bodies that cooperate in drafting and accepting regulations,
  • Insight into the full range of information on regulations through different phases of the legislative process,
  • Insight into harmonization with the EU legal system.

 

The project included putting together a wider database that contains a total of over 100,000 national regulations, regulations of local communities, including EU legal acts with over 2.5 million synchronized data.

 

The foundations have been set for further transfer of functionality, data sources and at the same time renovation of the existing RPS system of the Government’s legislation office.

 
 

OPLA.NET

 

OPLA.NET is a web application that allows data editing, used for payroll calculations. The application contains data on the company, data on employees and their salaries, payroll data and invoices. It allows users to draft various standard forms.

 
 

Submission of tax return

 

The submission of tax declaration for the Tax Administration Office of the Republic of Slovenia is a web application for completing, informative calculations and printing the form Submission of Tax Return. The printed tax return form is suitable for posting.

 
 

Form.NET – Solution for information support of technical inspection for vehicles

 

Form.NET is a solution for technical inspections. It offers users the functionality of the vehicle registry (MRVL) in one place and fulfils demands which are dictated by business processes in technical inspection organisations of the Republic of Slovenia. It provides a contemporary, simpler and clearer way of interactions between the user, clerk and working station.

 

Main functionalities supported by Form.NET include:

 

  • print outs of forms prescribed by regulations that refer to registration of motor vehicles,
  • maintaining regular accounts of services,
  • print outs of financial and statistical reports,
  • work with code and price lists,
  • integration with computer guided test tracks,
  • disconnected or filed work,
  • export of financial data,
  • creating back up copies,
  • storing archive data,
  • automatic updating of the program from the main server of the MJU (Ministry of Public Administration),
  • separate production and testing environment, 
  • network function,
  • automatic integration with MRVL,
  • common storage or basket,
  • managing access rights,

 
 

The supervision module is a system designed to support the application of the bank transaction system


The supervision module is a system designed to supervise the bank transaction systems in “Nova Ljubljanska Banka d.d.”. The supervision module monitors the bank transaction systems, while at the same time enabling management of basic code lists in both applications, as well as basic interventions in the systems.

 
 

Task Tracker

 

Task Tracker is a complete task management system and provides quality assurance. The process considers task management standards from entry, control, tracking, checking, to completion of respective tasks.

 

The system enables sorted views, notification and statistics of tasks and also appertaining static and dynamic data.

 
 

mobiTV (Interactive television)

 

MobiTV is a 3D visualisation and a 'multi-player' game platform for mobile phones. The solution received first prize at the Teleinfos Expo for best mobile application.

 

MobiTV is a virtual city, where the users meet, chat, compete and play. The presentation is a superb 3D animation of objects, environment and contents. It is designed to be seen and available to viewers of national or local television channels or public screens. Users include owners of mobile phones, who control their own images by using their personal mobile phone. The user chooses his nickname and goes to the television screen. The user watches 'his content' on the TV screen but controls it with his personal mobile phone.

 

The response time of the contents on the TV screen is around 0.5 seconds, which still assures a high level of dynamics. The most suitable connection is GPRS or UMTS because it's typically the cheapest and quickest.

 
 

mobiCity

 

MobiCity is a virtual city where citizens (users) chat, have fun, meet new friends, with application running through the mobile phone via an attractive visual display.

At the start you create your own character. You choose a nickname, gender and go to mobiCity.

 

On the map you can see different locations where other users stick around. At the centre you can get a guide that shows you various locations or teaches you how to use all the services on offer in mobiCity. You can go to different restaurants and bars, where you hang around with your friends or take your girlfriend out for a romantic dinner. For the restless sort there are lots of nightclubs available with different music styles for all tastes, while if you are more of a gambler you can try your luck out at the many games on offer in the casinos.

 

Nevertheless, wherever you decide to go, meeting new friends was never so exciting. If you someone meets your fancy, just go and say hello or send them a wink and invite them to the table. For fun with friends there is a lot more available than just chat, including various actions (hug, kiss, dance…).

 

If you decide to spend more time in mobiCity, you can rent an apartment and decorate it as you wish. You can invite friends for a chat with a drink or throw a party to which your neighbours can also come.
